Don't be the cheap alternative! (Wrong) thoughts about niching.
Creative people have many ideas.
You probably enjoy working in different areas, with diverse clients, using one of your many skills.
You also love learning, and adding even more skills to your palette.
The mere thought of "niche" makes you feel constricted.
"But, my life would be so boring! I love doing many things!"
How do I know this?
It was me for the longest time.
The idea of putting myself i a niche felt restricted. Claustrophobic, even.
But in the back of my head, I also knew that NOT specializing meant competing on price. Which is not good for business, for creativity, or anything.
That's why "niche" is the wrong way to think about it!
Is there a better way that allows you to unfold your creativity AND make good money?
Yes, there is.
...to be continued!
P.S. If you don't want to restrict yourself to a niche that doesn't fit you, ask your inner illustrator.
